JA「Noun + に」は 行く ばしょや、する ときを いいます。「7時に おきます」「学校に 行きます」。
Explanation
Japanese requires a counter when stating quantity. Pick the right counter based on the noun's shape/category. Memorize sound-changes: いっ before こ/さ/つ/ぴ; ろっ for 6 with most counters.
How to use

Common mistakes
✗ りんごを に たべました。
✓ りんごを ふたつ たべました。
Need a counter - bare numbers can't quantify nouns.
✗ りんごを ふたっつ ください。
✓ りんごを ふたつ ください。
Native-counter ふたつ ('two') reads with kun-yomi. Don't double the っ — it's ふたつ (two morae: ふ + たつ → ふた+つ). Memorize the native series: ひとつ/ふたつ/みっつ/よっつ/いつつ/むっつ/ななつ/やっつ/ここのつ/とお.
✗ りんごを 二人 ください。
✓ りんごを ふたつ ください。
二人 (ふたり) is the PEOPLE counter — it can only count people. Apples are objects, so the native counter ふたつ is required. For small round objects another valid option is 二個 (にこ).
Wrong / corrected pairs
✗ りんごが さん あります。
✓ りんごが みっつ あります。 / りんごが さんこ あります。
Number alone insufficient; need a counter. Generic counter for objects: つ (1-10) or こ.
✗ ひとが いちにん います。
✓ ひとが ひとり います。
1-person is ひとり (irregular), not いちにん. 2-people = ふたり. From 3 onwards: さんにん etc.
✗ いっぴき ねこ。
✓ ねこが いっぴき います。
Counter typically follows the verb in stacking order: が + counter + Verb (not pre-noun).
