Common mistakes
✗ あの 人は 日本語を じょうずです。
✓ あの 人は 日本語が じょうずです。
じょうず ('skilled') takes が like its family member すき. The skill subject is the THING that's done well. を would imply 日本語 is a direct object — wrong syntax for this adjective.
✗ テニスを じょうずです。
✓ テニスが じょうずです。
じょうず/へた take が, not を. This is a frequent N5 learner error for pattern 〜がじょうずです / へたです; the corrected form follows the standard register convention for this construction.

Both are grammatical. About your OWN ability じょうず can sound boastful; 〜が とくいです (or できます) is more modest. Use じょうず mainly to praise OTHERS.
