JA「から」は ふたつの いみが あります。ひとつは「はじまる ところ」です。「7時から」「学校から」と いいます。もう ひとつは「りゆう」です。「あついから まどを あけます」。
Explanation
から has two roles at N5: (1) FROM - a starting point in time or place, attaching to a noun (9時から, とうきょうから), and (2) BECAUSE - attaching to a full clause (plain or polite form), giving the reason for what follows. Often paired with まで (until). The 'because' use commonly precedes a request or command.

Common mistakes
✗ あつい です から、まどを あけてください。
✓ あついから、まどを あけてください。 (or あついですから、〜)
い-adjectives attach から directly (あついから). Don't insert です between them. Polite form あついですから is grammatical but stylistically less natural.
✗ がっこうへ いきますから、ともだちに あいます。
✓ がっこうへ いって、ともだちに あいます。 (sequential) - OR - ともだちに あうから、がっこうへ いきます。 (because)
から (because) connects REASON → result. The reason clause comes first. If you're listing sequential actions, use the て-form, not から.
✗ 9時で しごとです。
✓ 9時から しごとです。
から marks the STARTING point ('from 9'). で would mean 'at 9' as a location/event (9時で会議 = the meeting is at 9). For a time RANGE ('from X to Y'), pair から with まで: 9時から 5時まで しごとです.
Wrong / corrected pairs
✗ 9時から 来ます。
✓ 9時に 来ます。
から = "from a starting point"; に = "at a specific time".
✗ ごじから しちじに べんきょうします。
✓ ごじから しちじまで べんきょうします。
Range "from X to Y" is から〜まで. に marks point-time, not endpoint of range.
✗ あめから、いきません。
✓ あめだから、いきません。
Reason から after a noun needs the copula: N + だ + から (or N + な + ので).
